Alessandro Del Piero brands Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah ‘a God’

Alessandro Del Piero has branded Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah ‘a God’ after improving his game following his move to Anfield from Roma in 2017.

The Egyptian hit the ground running in his first season at the Reds by scoring 44 goals in 52 matches.

Salah notched 27 goals last campaign and is currently on 18 goals this season and Del Piero has hailed the forward.

‘Salah is already a God – and not only in Egypt,’ he told JOE.

‘When he was at Roma, I remember how many times he was in front of the goal and then he missed the goal.

‘And then all of a sudden, at Liverpool he improved that and he scored more than 30 goals per season.

‘When you have this kind of mentality that you want to improve yourself, to grow – it’s the best thing.’
