Erling Haaland has been the talk of the season so far, but the Norwegian hotshot says he owes Cristiano Ronaldo for being his inspiration.
Haaland has scored an astonishing 11 goals in just seven games for Borussia Dortmund after sealing his £17million switch from Red Bull Salzburg in January.
Between Salzburg and Dortmund, the 19-year-old has a staggering 39 goals in 29 games this campaign as he continues to torch defences at will.

And speaking about his success so far, Haaland referenced Ronaldo as the benchmark for his exploits.
‘I would love to meet him and tell him that I am a footballer thanks to him. For me, he was always a model,’ he was quoted as saying by Record.
Juventus forward Ronaldo is clearly Haaland’s role model, with footage appearing of the latter imitating the former’s goal celebration earlier this week.
Ahead of Dortmund’s Champions League last-16 first leg with Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday night, which they won 2-1 – courtesy of Haaland’s brace, the forward could be replicating Ronaldo’s signature celebration during training.
Haaland could meet Ronaldo in the Champions League if both progress from their last-16 ties and draw each other in the quarter-finals. Dortmund travel to Paris for the second leg on March 11, while Juve are yet to face their opponents Lyon.
