Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has branded VAR ‘not good enough’ after another decision went against his side in their match against Tottenham on Saturday.

Giovani Lo Celso clearly stamped on Cesar Azpilicueta’s leg during the match, but VAR decided not to show a red card after deeming he had nowhere else to put his foot.

However, the officials at Stockley Park admitted later in the match that a red card should have been shown, but too late for any action to be taken in the game.

‘It’s not good enough,’ said Lampard in his post-match interview on BT Sport. ‘I’m sorry, two VAR [decisions] in two games. It’s always harder when you lose and people think you’re just shouting about it.

‘But maybe you need to shout because that’s not good enough. Everybody in the world saw it was a red.’
