UEFA postpones ALL international fixtures due to be played in June including Euro 2020 play-offs as they remove deadline for 2019-20 season competitions to be completed

  • UEFA have announced all national team men and women matches in June are off
  • That includes the men’s Euro 2020 play-offs and women’s Euro 2021 qualifiers
  • Governing body say continental competitions have been postponed indefinitely

UEFA have postponed all national team fixtures for the month of June, including men’s Euro 2020 play-off clashes.

The governing body made the announcement on Wednesday afternoon that all men’s and women’s matches scheduled for that month would not be played ‘until further notice’.

They also confirmed that all other continental competitions, such as the Champions League and the Europa League, have also been suspended indefinitely.

It is a change in stance following UEFA’s meeting on March 17 when a joint resolution was signed by the European Club Association, European Leagues and FIFPro to end the season by June 30.
