Arsenal are ready to pip rivals to the signing of 16-year-old Feyenoord midfielder Lamare Bogarde according to Football Insider

Star arrivals are unlikely to be purchased this summer with the Gunners hierarchy hoping Mikel Arteta can improve players on the training ground.

Arsenal’s arch rivals Tottenham are also believed to be in the running but their funds are also limited. 

Arsenal are ready to pip rivals to the signing of Feyenoord midfielder Lamare Bogarde

Bogarde is likely to be relatively cheap which makes the deal an attractive propositon for both clubs amid financial uncertainity during the coronavirus crisis.

Bogarde has played 19 games for Feyenoord’s U17’s this season in midfield but can also play in central defence.

AC Milan, Juventus Schalke and Borussia Dortmund have also been tracking Bogarde who is the newphew of former Chelsea full-back Winston Bogarde.

The teenager has received call-ups for the Netherlands under-16 squad and earned praise for his performances in the academy.

The summer transfer window will be heavily affected by the coronavirus pandemic with clubs forced to rethink their strategies.
