Ole Gunnar Solskjaer ‘still eager to sign £50m-rated Jack Grealish for Manchester United’ despite Aston Villa star breaking coronavirus lockdown rules

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is still keen on signing Jack Grealish despite the Aston Villa star breaking coronavirus lockdown rules last month.

Grealish was heavily fined by his club after admitting to ‘stupidly’ flouting the government’s guidelines on the coronavirus lockdown to attend a late-night party at the flat of ex-team-mate Ross McCormack.

Grealish was pictured after leaving a penthouse apartment, where he crashed his £70,000 Range Rover and damaged two parked cars, and he has since issued a grovelling apology on social media.

He is to be fined £150,000 by Villa, according to repots

Jack Grealish was reportedly fined two weeks’ wages, totalling £150,000 for his act

But this has not put off Solskjaer from wanting to sign the £50million-rated Englishman according to ESPN

The United boss is a fan of Grealish and urged executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward to enquire about his availability last summer and in January.

Both approaches were knocked back but there is belief Villa may sanction a sale during the next transfer window, regardless of whether or not they stay in the Premier League this season.
