Social media has become a creative force ever since the coronavirus pandemic forced everyone into lockdown.

There have been loo roll challenges to Tiktok dances, but Liverpool‘s Andy Robertson has revealed he has a rather different, an increasingly more hilarious to-do list during isolation.

On a post on his Twitter page, the Scotland left-back took four screenshots of the calendar reminders he has jokingly set on his phone, and a lot of them have to do with his fellow Liverpool full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Part of Robertson’s to-do list involved calling the Liverpool right-back twice in the morning, namely at 8:25am to say good morning and then again at 9:05am to ‘check he’s ok’.

Further reminders were then set at 3pm and at 10pm, with the justification being ‘just because’, and the latter to wish him a good night.

And shortly after calling Alexander-Arnold mid-afternoon, he quipped that he rewatches the England international’s quickly-taken short corner routine against Barcelona that allowed Liverpool to progress against Barcelona last season, before attempting to recreate it himself in the garden immediately afterwards.

The 21-year-old however is not the only one Liverpool team-mate who Robertson makes a special effort to communicate with.

At 10:15am, Robertson tries to amuse himself by scrolling through James Milner’s Instagram account, and at he attempts to text centre-back Virgil Van Dijk that he misses him.

Scottish humour too was not excluded by Robertson, who stated that he drinks the renowned carbonated soft drink Irn Bru twice in the morning to ‘rehydrate’.

But it appears that while Robertson has been having some fun during isolation, it appears that the squad as a whole have been busy this week.

According to The Athletic, Liverpool’s players have held two video conferences with club executives about the possibility of deferring wages.

At an initial video conference last week, chiefs made a presentation to players which explained the financial cost the club will face if the Premier League season cannot be completed and TV revenue is lost.

The Reds are six points away from securing their first title in 30 years should the campaign be completed.
