‘I’m in constant contact with Napoli’s sporting director, our conversations on renewal have remained active’: Arkadiusz Milik’s agent dismisses striker’s exit despite interest from AC Milan, Juventus and Atletico Madrid

  • Arkadiusz Milik current contract at Napoli expires at the end of next season
  • The 26-year-old’s agent says talks over a new deal remain ongoing with the club
  • Milik has scored 12 goals in 22 games across all competitions for Napoli this term

Napoli striker Arkadiusz Milik remains in talks over a new contract to stay at the club and reports linking to him an exit are ‘only rumours’, according to his agent.

Milik has been linked with a move away from the Stadio San Paolo, with Goal claiming that AC Milan, Atletico Madrid and Juventus all interested in signing the forward.

The 26-year-old’s contract expires at the end of next season, but his agent David Pantak insists that the focus is on extending the Poland international’s stay in the south of Italy.

‘Regarding everything that’s come out in the media in the past few days, I want to clarify that they’re only rumours, some of them even disrespectful to Napoli as a club,’ Pantak told Calciomercato.

‘I’m in constant contact with Napoli’s sporting director, our conversations on [Milik’s] renewal have remained active.

‘At the end of this difficult period for everyone, we’ll meet and try to find a solution.

‘Only in the event that one can’t be found will we think of a shared solution for the good of the player and club.’

Milik had scored 12 goals in 22 games across all competitions for Napoli this season before the coronavirus pandemic hit.
