Chelsea star Jorginho ‘wanted by Juventus’ in Federico Bernardeschi swap deal

Chelsea star Jorginho ‘wanted by Juventus’ as boss Maurizo Sarri wants second reunion with Italian holding midfielder and will offer ‘Federico Bernardeschi’ in part exchange

Chelsea are preparing themselves for a move by Juventus, after it emerged the Italian giants are planning a raid for holding midfielder Jorginho.

Jorginho, who was signed by Maurizio Sarri in a £57million deal in July 2018, is reportedly wanted once again by his former boss.

Sarri insisted Jorginho was fundamental to his playing system, yet departed Chelse after just one year in charge to take over in Turin. Now the 61-year-old wants the holding midfielder to form the lynchpin of his side once again, according to the Sun.

Former Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri reportedly wants Jorginho to join him at Juventus

It is reported Sarri has been considering deals for both Jorginho and another of his former charges N’Golo Kante, but is set to move for the Italian this summer.

The move will likely be a difficult one however, due to Jorginho’s renewed importance at Stamford Bridge.

Despite making a slow start to life under Frank Lampard, Jorginho hit form and has clocked up 26 league appearances this season and scored four goals throughout the campaign.

Juve therefore are said to be prepared to offer 26-year-old winger Federico Bernardeschi as bait in the deal, in order to force the hand of the Blues.

Juve signed the pacey wideman for £34million from Fiorentina in the summer of 2017, though Bernardeschi has been unable to force his way into regular first team plans.

After making just 21 appearances so far this season, with just one assist, Juve are understood to be willing to move the Italy international on.
