Joao Felix ‘among targets identified’ by Manchester United this summer

Joao Felix ‘among targets identified’ by Manchester United this summer… but Premier League side face tough ask in convincing Atletico Madrid to sell Portuguese star after one season

  • Atletico Madrid forward Joao Felix is reportedly a target for Manchester United
  • The Portuguese international only joined the Spanish side from Benfica last July
  • It is thought that United would have difficulty persuading La Liga club to sell

Manchester United have listed Joao Felix as a possible transfer target this summer.

The Portuguese star completed a £113million move to Atletico Madrid from Benfica last summer, but has struggled to hit the ground running in Spain

The 20-year-old has scored just four league goals in 20 appearances, but could be offered the chance for a fresh start at Old Trafford.

Atletico Madrid forward Joao Felix is a target for Manchester United in the upcoming window

According to LeSport10, United have the intention of making at least one big-name signing during the upcoming window, and Felix is on the shortlist of plausible targets.

A move would see Felix following in the footsteps of compatriot Cristiano Ronaldo, who announced himself as a global superstar during his time at Old Trafford.

However, United may find it difficult to prise away the 20-year-old after just one season in the Spanish capital.

Felix signed a seven-year deal when agreeing terms with Atletico, who are in a strong position to keep hold of the forward, should they wish to.
