Joao Felix ‘among targets identified’ by Manchester United this summer… but Premier League side face tough ask in convincing Atletico Madrid to sell Portuguese star after one season
- Atletico Madrid forward Joao Felix is reportedly a target for Manchester United
- The Portuguese international only joined the Spanish side from Benfica last July
- It is thought that United would have difficulty persuading La Liga club to sell
Manchester United have listed Joao Felix as a possible transfer target this summer.
The Portuguese star completed a £113million move to Atletico Madrid from Benfica last summer, but has struggled to hit the ground running in Spain.
The 20-year-old has scored just four league goals in 20 appearances, but could be offered the chance for a fresh start at Old Trafford.
Atletico Madrid forward Joao Felix is a target for Manchester United in the upcoming window
According to LeSport10, United have the intention of making at least one big-name signing during the upcoming window, and Felix is on the shortlist of plausible targets.
A move would see Felix following in the footsteps of compatriot Cristiano Ronaldo, who announced himself as a global superstar during his time at Old Trafford.
However, United may find it difficult to prise away the 20-year-old after just one season in the Spanish capital.
Felix signed a seven-year deal when agreeing terms with Atletico, who are in a strong position to keep hold of the forward, should they wish to.
