Chloe Madeley and James Haskell share their love for Netflix phenomenon Tiger King

Chloe Madeley and James Haskell became the latest celebrities to acknowledge the popularity of Netflix hit Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness as they took to Instagram on Tuesday.

The seven-part documentary charting the rise and spectacular fall of flamboyant zoo owner Joe Exotic has been a welcome distraction for bored Brits as they adapt to strict lockdown laws put in place to halt the spread of coronavirus COVID-19.

And Chloe, 32, revealed she and James were fans of the globally popular series while sharing a playful video with her 240,000 social media followers.

The clip shows former rugby union player James, 35, getting a Tiger King themed makeover from his wife as they take advantage of rising spring temperatures by relaxing in their garden.

Using an assortment of cosmetics, Chloe decorates her husband’s face with broad orange and black stripes while transforming him into one of the exotic predators around which the series is based.

The fitness fanatic also turned the make-up brush on herself by applying whiskers to her cheeks and feline snout to the top of her nose before pulling on a pair of fake cat ears.

Sharing a snap of her completed efforts later that day, she compared herself and James to Joe Exotic’s bitter nemesis and her second husband, writing: ‘The wheels have come off… Howard and Carole Baskin.’

The post comes after Chloe admitted James is out of shape after dismissing his daily fitness routine during the current coronavirus lockdown.

Posting an unflattering image of the former sportsman’s stomach on Monday, the personal trainer poked fun at the former rugby player’s new relaxed diet.

‘When you have three burgers for lunch’, the daughter of TV veterans Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan jokingly captioned the photo.

Speaking in March, the media personality revealed she once moved out of the home she shares with James in Northamptonshire for two days.

Chloe, who tied the knot to the hunk in December 2018, admitted she was left ‘so angry’ when she discovered her partner took up MMA, within a month of retiring from rugby.

She said she was disappointed at the hunk’s decision to become a MMA fighter after years of seeing him hurt during his rugby stint.

‘I can’t explain the countless nights in hospital by his side — the amount of money I had to pay for cots so I could sleep next to him for three or four nights after operations, and the holidays I had to postpone or cancel because he was playing or injured,’ she told The Sun

‘So when he retired I was just so relieved, but within a month of retiring, he was asked to consider becoming an MMA fighter. I laughed it off and told him he obviously wasn’t putting his body through all that strain again. The next thing I know, he’s taken up MMA.’

The blonde was so furious that she stayed in her London flat alone for 48 hours for the first time following their ‘big row’.

But she admits she eventually ‘got my s**t together’ and mended her broken ties with James, and has been supporting his profession ever since he announced his career change in August 2019.
