Pregnant Vogue Williams admits she ‘pushed away’ husband Spencer Matthews

She’s expecting her second baby with husband Spencer Matthews, but in a new podcast, Vogue Williams said she did all she could to push him away when they met.

The couple both met in 2017 when they competed on controversial Channel 4 show, skiing show, The Jump.

Vogue, 34, told Georgie Coleridge Cole on her Sheer Luxe podcast: ‘When I met him, he was wearing tracksuit bottoms and slip-on shoes.

‘I thought, “Omg, the state of him”. I didn’t want to like him at the start, he seemed smug, but we clicked as pals.

‘We were just friends for the first six or seven weeks until we kissed. I didn’t want it to last. I was pushing against it.

‘He said when we were back in London, we would go for a date. I was thinking, “absolutely no way, you cannot tell a living soul”.’

Vogue said: ‘I was enjoying being single. I was living in a great house in East London and had two really cool flatmates. I didn’t want a relationship.

‘But once we got back from filming The Jump, we started going on dates and we went from there, I guess.’

Vogue and Spencer, 31, married in June 2018 and are parents to Theodore, who is now 18 months. The couple are now expecting a little girl.

She said: ‘I am so thrilled about the girl part. I thought I would only have boys. I am so delighted.

‘I am around 25-26 weeks pregnant. I knew to the day with Theo, now I don’t know. We found out quite early as we did the Harmony test after ten weeks because we’re nosey.

‘I haven’t wanted to ask people what it’s like having two children, I think it’s better to go in at the deep end and not know.

‘I have worries about sleep, as in, is she going to wake Theo at night? We just nailed his sleep routine.

‘I’m glad she is still in my tummy during lockdown as it’s quite full-on being in the house 24/7 with Theo. He starts nursery in September, so that will take the heat off.

‘I do have a nanny when I work but I am not going to take much maternity leave as my work is flexible and sometime’s it’s nice to go to work for a break.

‘Hopefully being a family of four won’t put me off us becoming a family of five.’

Despite all she has going on during lockdown, Vogue said she is trying to maintain as much of her beauty regime as she can.

She said: ‘I’ve plucked my eyebrows and given myself a pedicure. I’ve taken out my extensions. I wanted balayage, so this is the perfect time.

‘I like to put on a little bit of make-up every day to make myself feel better. I’ll do a full face if I am doing an Instagram live.

‘I do my tan every week as I finds that perks you up and I wore a dress yesterday as I don’t want to be in my workout gear all the time.’

Presenter: Vogue has a new job as a DJ on Heart FM and says she can’t believe she got the job while pregnant in a pandemic as she LOST jobs during her first pregnancy

Vogue has a new presenting slot on Heart FM and she says she has wanted the job for a year, but couldn’t believe she got it while heavily pregnant and in a pandemic.

She said: ‘The last time I found out I lost two big jobs. People look at pregnant people in a different light. I thought, “no way will I get that job now”.

‘What a cool company that employs me in a pandemic while I am heavily pregnant. ‘

During the interview, Vogue revealed that her career could have gone in a completely different direction.

She said: ‘My parents insisted on me going to uni just in case modelling didn’t work, so I studied Construction Design And Management.

And I did another degree in Quantity Surveying, I wanted to be an architect but after the building industry collapsed in the recession, I was allowed to follow my other path.

Vogue said she feels incredible lucky to be where she is at now but says: ‘I’m not where I want to be at just yet.’
