Simon made a very special and unique appearance during Saturday’s episode of Britain’s Got Talent.

The music mogul, 61, entered a room full of gob-smacked pupils as he surprised them at their school to share some good news with them.

Simon was mobbed by excitable kids as he strolled into the classroom, leaving one of them questioning whether he was a ‘fake’.

The father-of-one told the children they could ask him anything they wanted, with one questioning: ‘What would happen if we went on BGT?’

Simon revealed that if he gave them a red buzzer he would expect them to say: ‘Simon, you don’t know what you’re talking about.’

The judge then revealed that the leader of their choir, teacher Danny, had secretly applied for the group – Class Dynamix – to audition for the show that day.

Following an impressive audition that received four yeses, Danny told judges Simon, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams: ‘They’re a mixed group, different confidence levels, they’ll never forget the day Simon Cowell came to their school.’

He also joked: ‘Nasir [a pupil] said she will never wash her shirt again.’

Simon told the group: ‘This is such a strong message, we’ve never had a choir like you before!’

Jonny Berliner was next up to try and impress the judges with his educational songs, however the audition fell flat when he received a red buzzer from Amanda.
