A murder probe is underway after an 88-year-old man was found dead at his Surrey home.
Police were scrambled to the house in Bletchingley Road, Godstone just before 11am today.
They found the man’s body and a murder investigation was launched. No arrests have yet been made.
The victim has not been formally identified but his family have been informed and are being supported by police officers.

A Godstone resident, who wished to remain anonymous, said: ‘From morning right through the day there was a large police presence outside a house on the Bletchingley Road.
‘There also seemed to be an ambulance there which stayed for some time. It is understood that there was a break-in which led to the death of an elderly male occupant.
‘Since lockdown there seems to be an increase in break-ins of sheds and garages in the area.’
