Joe Jonas dishes on his first wedding anniversary plans with Sophie Turner after wild Vegas wedding

Joe Jonas is planning a special wedding anniversary for Sophie Turner despite the couple being stuck at home amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The couple got legally married with a wild Las Vegas ceremony in May last year followed by a ceremony in Southern France one month later.

Chatting to James Corden for the Late Late Show on Monday Joe, 30, said he might recreate the Sin City bash at home.

‘We legally got married in Vegas, so it’s our Vegas anniversary,’ the Sucker hitmaker said of their first anniversary coming up on Friday, before adding that the couple probably ‘would have gone back to Vegas’. 

He continued, ‘So, if you can keep a secret, I would say I might try to recreate Vegas in our house.’ 

Joe said he has a DJ set up at home and could create a nightclub vibe for the anniversary celebration.

When Corden suggested Joe dress up as Elvis, the singer replied ‘now you’re talking.’ 

Corden joked that the couple could have a Zoom call with the Elvis impersonator that officiated their wedding, to which Joe quipped that he would have to make him sign an N.D.A this time after he leaked information about the duo’s ceremony to the press last year.

Joe and Sophie tied the knot at a Vegas chapel after the Billboard Music Awards on May 1 2019.

The nuptials were meant to be kept a secret but the couple’s pal Diplo broadcast the whole thing on his social media.

Joe said the couple have chilled out a bit now but used to celebrate every milestone when they were first dating.

‘We used to be the couple that every few days we would celebrate,’ he explained. ‘So, it’d be like, we’ve been dating for a week, we’d have a party or a big dinner. We’ve been dating for a month…and we were that nauseating couple,’ 

The couple are said to be expecting their first child together but are keeping it under wraps with only close friends and family in the know.
