Melrose Place cast reunites as Heather Locklear says she would play Amanda again

The cast of Melrose Place reunited for the first time in eight years while appearing on the YouTube series Stars In The House on Wednesday.

Several cast members were seen in their living rooms as they weighed in on the hit show that aired from 1992 until 1999 with SiriusXM Broadway host Seth Rudetsky and his husband, producer James Wesley. 

Among the Melrose Place stars on the Zoom interview were Heather Locklear, Grant Show, Doug Savant, Thomas Calabro, Andrew Shue, Courtney Thorne-Smith, Laura Leighton, Daphne Zuniga and Josie Bissett.

The Dynasty vet, who has been sober for one year, was in her Thousand Oaks, California mansion that she is staying in during self-isolation with her daughter Ava Sambora. 

The beauty said that the show was ‘pretty fun’ and she got a kick out of playing the outrageous Amanda Woodward even joking, ‘I don’t think like that in real life, maybe sometimes.’

When asked if she would like to play Amanda again she said a very definite yes.

‘Yeah it would be fun to play Amanda again at the ripe old age of 58!’ she said.

The ex of Richie Sambora said she loved the cast and crew, sometimes doing two episodes at a time.

Cross – who helped assemble the cast after talking to Laura – said she was happy ‘the gang’s all here’ and that they all wanted to help the Actor’s Fund.

‘It’s just fantastic what you guys are doing,’ she told the hosts.

‘I got a phone call from them saying, “Would you like to come back at the end of the year?” I said, “I don’t understand, I’m driving off a cliff today, I’m dying (on the show)”‘ she said.

‘And they said, “No, no, no, we’re going to change that.” So I went away for a few months and then came back.’

And Grant said he was always told to talk faster as the producers didn’t like pauses.
