Jonathan Scott admits to ‘flirting so hard’ with Zooey Deschanel on Carpool Karaoke that producers had to cut most of their footage
Jonathan Scott’s relationship with Zooey Deschanel has got serious since they began dating last August.
The Property Brothers star and twin brother Drew met the actress and older sister Emily on an episode of Carpool Karaoke.
Now, he has admitted to ‘flirting so hard’ with Deschanel during their first meeting on the James Corden series, that producers had to cut much of their segment.

The 42-year-old said opened up about their love story on his brother’s podcast At Home with Linda and Drew Scott.
Drew asked Zooey, 40: ‘When you first saw him on Carpool Karaoke — I want to know from your end — did you know he was flirting with you?’
She responded: ‘Yes, yes… You were being very gentlemanly. I actually asked my publicist, who is also one of my best friends, “Do you think he was flirting?” And she was like, “Oh, yes.”‘
But Drew could tell the New Girl actress was also interested: ‘When we saw the first cut [of the episode] from Corden’s gang there, I looked at it and was like yeah, she’s definitely flirting with Jonathan.’

His brother revealed: ‘I thought I was playing it cool, but the producer said I was flirting so hard that they had to cut a bunch of it out.’
They also recounted their first date, in which he gave her a tour of one of his houses because of their mutual appreciation for architecture.
Zooey said: ‘I thought he was trying to put the moves on me! He’s like, ‘And here is the living room and here is the bedroom and here is the other bedroom.’
‘And I’m like, Oh, he really is just giving me an architectural tour. Maybe I have the wrong idea about this date.’

The special podcast episode was recorded last week for Jonathan and Drew’s 42nd birthday, which Zooey helped them celebrate.
She hosted a Game of Thrones themed murder mystery party on Zoom with some of his closest friends.
The three-time Golden Globe nominee wrote on Instagram: ‘This amazing person makes me truly happy every single day and fills my life with love and joy.
‘Happy birthday @mrsilverscott! You are one of a kind wonderful. So happy I get to make your birthday cake.’
