Stacey Solomon reassures fans her sons are ‘safe and well’ as she returns to social media

Stacey Solomon has reassured fans her sons are ‘safe and well’ but admitted there’s ‘lots going on at home’ as she returned to social media on Tuesday.

The Loose Women star, 30, sparked concern when she revealed she was taking a break from Instagram for ‘personal reasons’ earlier in the week, before sharing a cryptic post about ‘believing in signs’ just seven hours later.

And the host seemed to be in greater spirits as she celebrated her son Leighton’s eighth birthday by setting up blue balloons and cards on his bed.

Updating her 3.2 million followers on her wellbeing, the presenter said: ‘Good morning. Lots going on here at the moment but all of the boys are safe and well, which we are so grateful for.’

Insisting she wants to focus on her son’s ‘special’ day, Stacey added: ‘We are going to celebrate the best we can and try to forget about what is happening in the world just for a moment.

‘I have been laying here catching up with your messages and I just wanted to say… THANK YOU. I can’t describe how it feels to have such an amazing family on here. Love you all to the moon and back.’

Later, Stacey shared a heartwarming snap of her three boys on the bed grinning from ear to ear.

Alongside the photo, she wrote: ‘Happy Birthday Leighton. I haven’t managed to get a picture of all three of them in so long it’s melting my heart. My world, 8 years old today pickle, how did this happen?

‘We love you to the moon and back Leighton… Now time for radish & chocolate cheesecake in mummy’s bed, watching your favourite films (I honestly can’t believe I agreed to this, must have been the lockdown birthday guilt).

‘I cant wait to spend the night rolling around in the radishes they pick off and hide under the sheets. I hope you’re all ok, thinking of you always.’

Just a day earlier, the honey-blonde beauty informed fans she was temporarily quitting social media ‘for personal reasons’ – leaving her followers worried about her.

But the former X Factor singer appeared online a short seven hours later to upload a video of something she’d received in the post.

Mum-of-three Stacey – who keeps fans entertained regularly on Instagram – explained she is minimising activity on the photo-sharing site as she kicked off another week from isolation amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

‘Okay Monday… let’s do this,’ she posted, alongside a snap of her baby son Rex. ‘I’m going to come off social media today for personal reasons. I really hope you’re all ok. I love you all. Look after yourselves.’

She later received a homemade rainbow painting in the post, which she captioned: ‘Just received this through the door – I know I sound silly but I really do believe in little signs. I thought I’d put it on here hoping to brighten someone else’s day too.’

On the back of the rainbow was a note from Stacey’s neighbours, who wrote: ‘Here is a rainbow of hope. We hope it brightens your day.’
