Europe is a popular holiday destination for Britons – and we like to think we know plenty about it.
But when it comes to identifying European national flags, it turns out most people – especially millennials – are not so hot.
River cruise provider Emerald Waterways put together a quiz and asked 1,200 Britons to pair European flags with countries.
Only 10 per cent of people managed to get full marks.
Generation Z (aged 18-25) performed the best, followed by Baby Boomers (55+). Generation X (40-54) came next while Millennials (25-39) performed worst.
Shockingly, more than two out of three people couldn’t identify the Belgian flag. Over half couldn’t identify Greece’s flag.
The fastest time taken to complete the quiz was one minute 36 seconds, while the average is two minutes 12 seconds.
