Tekashi 6ix9in points out Ariana Grande’s child star roots as he talks his childhood struggles

Tekashi 6ix9ine responded to Ariana Grande on Monday, after he blasted Billboard, and appeared to be suggest that she and Justin Bieber’s charity single, Stuck With U, reached no. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 unfairly.

The rapper, born Daniel Hernandez, praised Grande as being a ‘beautiful singer,’ and asserted that his frustration was with Billboard.

His latest rant, which pointed out her child star roots, while he said he grew up in a very ‘different’ way, came just before he showed off multiple credit cards in another post.

Feud: Tekashi 6ix9ine responded to Ariana Grande in a video on Monday, after he claimed she and Justin Bieber reached number 1 one the Billboard chart unfairly

‘I wanna make this video to address Ariana. I don’t want you to think I’m coming at you,’ he said on camera.

He went on to compliment the Thank U, Next singer saying: ‘Not saying that you not talented, not saying that you can’t sing, you’re a beautiful singer, you just don’t understand my pain.’

But getting to his frustrations he explained that he felt he was speaking for kids from similar backgrounds as him.

‘My frustration is from Billboard. I speak for the millions of kids that come from nothing, right,’ he said before showing a video from earlier in his career in which he showed the small Brooklyn apartment he lived in with his mom, brother, girlfriend and daughter, as well as the equipment he bought to edit videos himself.

The New York born rapper went on to point out that while he worked service jobs in his youth, that was different from the show business childhood Ariana had.

‘I want you to understand I come from a different, different background than you, right,’ he said. ‘My mom used to collect cans, right, on the street, I used to bus tables, be a dishwasher.’

He went on to show a clip of Ariana on her Nickelodeon show Victorious, which she starred in from ages 16-20.

Continuing in his caption he explained ‘@arianagrande All I’m saying is I worked super hard to make it out of Brooklyn NY. I speak for the millions of kids who aren’t as fortunate as you.’

Adding: ‘The millions who weren’t fortunate to be on T.V.. LIFE is REAL when you’re on welfare LIFE is REAL when you grow up with out a father. You don’t know what that is like.

‘You say for me to be humble,’ he wrote ‘I don’t think you know what humble is………. YOU ARE VERY TALENTED AND BEAUTIFUL GOD BLESS YOU. But you will NEVER UNDERSTAND MY PAIN.’

In another post he held up multiple credit cards saying he would go ‘#1 next time,’ seeming to still hint he believed Justin and Ariana bought their win.

The response comes after Justin, Ariana and their music manager Scooter Braun, who earned his first writing credit on the single in question, hit back at claims that their no. 1 on the Billboard charts this week was fixed.

Earlier on Monday, Tekashi claimed that ‘6 credit cards used to buy 60,000 copies in the last hour’ helped Grande and Bieber’s song ‘Stuck With U’, the proceeds of which go to the First Responders Children’s Foundation.

“YOU’RE A LIE AND CORRUPT,’ 6ix9ine wrote to Billboard on his Instagram page. “YOU GOT CAUGHT CHEATING AND THE WORLD WILL KNOW.”

Grande was first to hit back to the claims directly saying: ‘My fans bought the song. JUSTIN’S fans bought the song. OUR fans bought this song (never more than four copies each, AS THE RULES STATE).’

Her expletive-filled rant added that it was her fans that got them to number one who she referred to as her ‘ride of die motherf——s.’

The singer was then supported by Bieber who gave a lengthy response on his Instagram page, defending themselves saying: ‘60,000 units came because we don’t disclose our numbers until end of week. That’s called strategy.’

He added: ‘This is my song with Ariana Grande and I’m honored to work with her to help raise money for a great cause. If you gonna say her name make sure you say mine because it’s our song.’

Music manager Braun – who also shares a songwriting credit in the song – then got involved himself, explaining: ‘Only domestic streams are counted for a domestic chart. If someone is counting their total they aren’t counting correctly.’

He added ‘Two…We never disclose our sales until end of week. That is called strategy and is and always has been our policy. Three… Nielsen and billboard rules state clearly one credit card can only buy max 4 copies.’

Response: Justin Bieber hit back with this lengthy comment on his Instagram Stories, which was then shared by Ariana Grander on her page (the pair are both managed by Scooter Braun)

‘Anything above that the entire amount gets thrown out. They review that. All must be confirmed. Which is was. No one should discredit your amazing fan base with lies.’

Braun did admit that there was investigation going on, but it was not over their song. He said: ‘Four…Yes there was an investigation this week but it was into a video that had 6 times the amount of paid bot activity than the normal video. That video was not ours..’

Rapper 6ix9ine then posted a message directly hitting back at Grande saying, after she told him to ‘take a moment and be humble.’

‘LIFE is REAL when you’re on welfare LIFE is REAL when you grow up with out a father. You don’t what that is like. You say for me to be humble… I don’t think you know what humble is.’

He appeared to be taking issue with the fact that Grande was previously a child star before she made it big in the music industry.

However, Grande seemed to be upset that 6ix9ine’s claims was putting a dampener on her achievement as a female solo artist.

Grande re-posted a fact from Chart Data on her Instagram page that claimed she has become the first act in history to debut a song at number one on the Hot 100 in three consecutive years.

Her song has taken over from last week’s No. 1, ‘Say So’ — the first for both Doja Cat and remix guest Nicki Minaj.

Meanwhile, Braun caused huge controversy last year when he bought Big Machine Records – acquiring Taylor Swift’s back catalogue of master recordings.

‘Scooter has stripped me of my life’s work,’ Swift wrote on Tumblr at the time, adding: ‘Essentially, my musical legacy is about to lie in the hands of someone who tried to dismantle it. This is my worst case scenario.’

Braun insisted he had ‘no malicious intent’ in the power move.
