Lydia Bright reveals she broke down in tears after daughter’s immunisation fears

She welcomed her baby daughter Loretta Rose in late February.

But Lydia Bright has revealed that she was left in tears on Friday after fearing her bundle of joy would suffer a ‘bad reaction’ to her second round of immunisations.

The former TOWIE star, 30, told fans on Instagram Stories she ‘got herself into a bit of a state’ worrying whether the injections would affect her daughter, after she fell ill following her first round last month.

‘I was so very worried and got myself into a bit of a state this morning.’

Following her tearful snap, Lydia continued: ‘However after all that worry, mainly due to her bad reaction after the first set, my baby has been fine so far.

‘A little temperature, however it could be down to the weather. Fingers crossed, however I am still going to sleep with one eye open.’

Typically the second round of immunisations for a baby are given when they are 12 weeks old, according to the NHS.

These consist of the second dost of the 6-in-1 vaccine (for diphtheria, hepatitis B, haemophilus influenzae type b, polio, tetanus, and whooping cough), the Pneumococcal (PCV) vaccine and the rotavirus vaccine.

Following this a third round is given at 16 weeks, consisting of the third 6-in-1 vaccine, and the second MenB vaccine.

In April Lydia revealed little Loretta became ‘very poorly’ following her first round of immunisations, which were for the 6-in-1 vaccine, rotavirus vaccine and the MenB vaccine.

Detailing her experience on Instagram, Lydia penned: ‘It’s been a really hard day. Since Loretta had her immunisations on Monday she has been so poorly.

‘Today her temperature was so high and she wasn’t feeding, the doctors were concerned I would have to take her to hospital.

She added: ‘Then just before her temperature dropped and she started a successful feed this landed next to us’, while sharing a picture of a white feather.

Lydia ended her post by saying: ‘Thank you grandad for protecting Loretta’, and sharing a picture of her late grandfather on her Story.

The star welcomed her little girl with Lee Cronin on February 21st, after first announcing that she was expecting in August.
