‘Things have catapulted out of control’: Married At First Sight’s Hayley Vernon tears up as she reveals mental health battle after starting a new job and getting a puppy
Married At First Sight‘s Hayley Vernon has revealed her ‘head isn’t right at the moment’ and she needs to take time out to focus on her mental health.
The 32-year-old teared up in a series of Instagram Story posts on Saturday night, admitting she has been struggling for a while but is only now speaking out.
‘This is raw, this is me and I’m tired. I’ve had a lot going on for the past week or so,’ Hayley began, hoping to inspire fans by speaking so openly and bravely.

Hayley said: ‘I actually don’t know what to say, I’ve recorded this video five or six times and I keep deleting it. It’s all got to do with myself. I’ve been analysing and picking apart things in my head, which I’m f**king good at, and some of it has to with things outside of my circle of control.
‘For all those people that have asked where have I been, I had to take a little break – and I still need to – because my head’s not right at the moment. I’ve got a lot of s**t going on. And sometimes in life you need to put your hands up in the air and say that enough is enough. Instagram was one of them.
‘People ask how do I stay so motivated? And the truth is, sometimes I f**king don’t. It’s been one thing has led to another and catapulted out of control in the past week and a half, and I’ve f**king just put my head in the sand.’

‘I want to get back to training and stuff that makes me feel good … All I know is that today is a better day than yesterday. For anyone else out there that’s struggling, all I’m going to be doing is trying to be a little bit better than yesterday,’ she added.
‘Life is f**king tough at times – but you know what? We don’t give up. I’m getting emotional… it’s really f**king hard sometimes and I put a lot of that on myself.’

Hayley found fame on Married At First Sight earlier this year.
She became one of the show’s most controversial brides after allegedly kissing co-star Michael Goonan behind now ex-‘husband’ David Cannon’s back.
The star later broke down after her former partner sought revenge by cleaning a toilet with her toothbrush, leaving many viewers disgusted and sympathetic.
