Big Brother Australia: Ian Joass’s longtime ‘secret’ girlfriend

Big Brother Australia’s Ian Joass isn’t as shy as viewers believe he is. 

After telling Sonia Kruger he’s signed up to the show to develop his social skills, Daily Mail Australia can reveal that the 25-year-old fossil fanatic loves to party. 

Meanwhile, the fan favourite has a longterm secret girlfriend that he failed to mention as he made his reality television debut on Monday night. 

Ian has been in a relationship with environmental scientist Kerryn Davis for years. 

His partner first introduced her beau in an adorable Facebook post in November 2016, alongside a picture of them cuddling up together at the beach. 

Earlier this week, Ian shared a cosy selfie of the pair to Instagram as he prepared for the Big Brother premiere, showing that they’re still going strong. 

When he’s not with Kerryn, it appears the Perth-based waiter has an active social life.

Daily Mail Australia has unearthed several pictures of the self-confessed introvert, who has a fascination for geology, out partying with friends in recent years.

He is seen downing a drink and posing in a group selfie in some of the pictures.

Ian has already become a fan favourite following Monday’s Big Brother premiere.

Before entering the Channel Seven compound, he said: ‘To be honest, social situations scare me a lot, but that’s something I’m trying to work on. 

‘And that’s why I want to be on Big Brother’.  

He explained that growing up in the bush in Western Australia as an only child left him struggling to develop his social skills like other people his age.
