Miley Cyrus shares a tender moment with her boyfriend Cody Simpson

Miley Cyrus shares a tender moment with her boyfriend Cody Simpson as she heads to the grocery store armed with cartoon-print face mask

She has been using her massive social media platform to show her solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement amid nation-wide protests.

But Miley Cyrus took a well deserved break from her tireless activism on Tuesday afternoon to stock up on groceries with boyfriend Cody Simpson, 23, at Erewhon Market in Los Angeles.

The 27-year-old pop star adhered to the city’s mask mandate by sporting a playful cloth face mask that featured images of cartoon suns and a grinning mouth.

Cyrus kept her bleach blonde fashion mullet concealed beneath a grey Los Angeles Dodgers baseball cap.

She suited up for her errand run in a pair of high waisted denim jeans and a black racerback tank top, which allowed her to show off her collection of quirky arm tattoos.

Miley trekked across the Erewhon parking lot in a pair of black Birkenstock sandals as she carried a paper bag filled to the brim with groceries.

Simpson proved to be the perfect gentleman as he happily slung the couple’s large reusable shopping tote over his shoulder and held onto a paper grocery bag in his left hand.

The Australian musician showed off his bulging biceps in a white tee that he paired with grey Nike basketball shorts.

He slipped his feet into a pair bright blue socks and some worn Vans sneakers.

Cody was still sporting the close-cropped buzz cut that Miley gave him in April.

At one point, he tenderly wrapped his arm around Miley.

The loved up duo have been quarantining together amid the COVID-19 outbreak.

Aside from using her Instagram and Twitter to speak out against police brutality, Miley also attended a Black Lives Matter protest on June 2.

The former Disney star proudly paraded down the streets of Los Angeles with Simpson, while carrying a Black Lives Matter sign.

She documented the entire peaceful protests on her Instagram for her 110million followers to see.

‘Yesterday I was joined by friends and experienced the power of peaceful protest organized by @blmlosangeles in front of @mayorofla’s house with a simple demand: defund the police. There is a lot of work to be done to end systemic racism and white supremacy in our country, and I personally still have so much to learn and do to support,’ wrote Miley at the time.

She also mentioned the upgraded charges against Derek Chauvin and the other officers involved in the unjust killing of George Floyd on March 25.

‘We can’t stop fighting for justice—justice for George Floyd, for Breonna Taylor, for Tony McDade, for Ahmaud Arbrey [sic], and the too many names we don’t know,’ she wrote, ending by restating: ‘BLACK LIVES MATTER.’

Floyd’s death was the catalyst needed to reignite the Black Lives Matter movement across the nation with many demanding the government to ‘defund’ law enforcement and reinvest the money into social programs.
