Iggy Azalea fans spot odd detail in her baby announcement post

Iggy Azalea announced that she’s now a mother to a baby boy on Wednesday yet her shock statement has left fans baffled due to missing details. 

The Australian rapper’s surprise statement on Instagram sent fans into a frenzy, but also caused much confusion as many noticed an odd detail in her post.   

Not only did Iggy, 30, fail to mention if her rumoured fiancé Playboi Carti is the father, she did not specify when exactly she was pregnant with the little boy.

Iggy’s statement read: ‘I have a son. I kept waiting for the right time to say something but it feels like the more time passes, the more I realize I’m always going to feel anxious to share news that giant with the world.

‘I want to keep his life private but wanted to make it clear he is not a secret and I love him beyond words.’

While most have assumed rapper Playboi Carti is the father of the child, she failed to mention him in her post or even reference a father in general.

The couple first started dating in 2018, and were rumoured to have split after several months. Iggy then hinted they were engaged in July 2019 by flashing a diamond ring when asked about their romance during an interview on The X Change Rate. 

However, she failed to ever verbally confirm their engagement after the interview, and it has not been discussed since.  

Hollywood Unlocked first reported that Iggy was pregnant in December 2019. 

They claimed at the time that she was six months pregnant and the father was Playboi Carter, but had no further details or evidence to back this up.

DJ Akademiks recently claimed that Iggy gave birth at the end of April. 

However, throughout the time she was reported to have been pregnant, the rapper has repeatedly shared bikini pictures, showcasing her very flat stomach. 

Iggy displayed her toned physique in one red hot bikini picture on December 19, when she is said to have been around six months pregnant. 

She highlighted her enviable figure in another post wearing a crop top in May, reportedly just weeks after she gave birth to her first child.  

However, these pictures may not have been taken at the time she posted them. 

Many fans have voiced their confusion on Twitter over Iggy’s baby announcement. 

‘When the f**k was Iggy pregnant I’m so confused?’ questioned one person. Another wrote: ‘Did Iggy just have a child? When was she pregnant? Is Carti a dad?’
