Lady Gaga superfan feels ‘so blessed’ after singer gifted her the leather jacket off her back: ‘It was so heartfelt’
A Lady Gaga super fan took to social media to thank the singer after she gifted her the leather jacket off her back during a chance encounter outside a Malibu restaurant on Monday.
‘I felt so blessed to be given this jacket off your back and have never been so blessed or thankful than I was last night,’ Shannon McKee, 27, gushed after the memorable experience on Twitter.
In addition to sharing a picture of herself in the rocker chic garment, McKee described the Born This Way singer as being ‘an incredible inspiration of a kind hearted human being.’

McKee revealed she crossed paths with the 11-time Grammy winner, who was at a market with her boyfriend Michael Polansky, in Malibu.
‘I walked in and I was like, ‘Hey, that’s a really bad a** jacket you got on,” McKee recalled telling Gaga to TODAY. And she said, ‘Thank you.’ I kind of recognized the voice, but I’m not one to really go up to celebrities.’
After initially parting ways, McKee felt the A Star Is Born actress ‘needed’ to hear her story.
‘So when I went back, I was like, ‘Hey, you’re Lady Gaga, right? My best friend back in high school was a huge fan of yours. And you’re the reason he actually came out to me. And his first five tattoos are all dedicated to you and my brother just recently came out to me, too. So I just wanted to say thank you for being such an incredible ally,’ she explained.
While telling her story, the Oscar winner began to peel off her jacket, and according to McKee said, ‘You loved my jacket so much. Here. It’s yours. Put it on right now. You be bad a** with it now.’
The hitmaker has a longtime advocate for the LGBTQ+ community.
