MasterChef: Back to Win star Laura Sharrad is known as the ‘pasta queen’ thanks to her skill in making flawless Italian dishes.

Laura told WHO magazine that her favourite sweet treat is ‘Nutella out of the jar – all day, every day.’

Nutella, a popular brand of sweetened hazelnut cocoa spread, is of Italian origin.

The affable cook also revealed the first dish she ever mastered in the kitchen was gnocchi. She learned to make it while living overseas as a child.

‘It was handmade gnocchi. My first ever cooking memory was when I was living in Italy and my Nonni came to visit. She taught me how to make it,’ she said.

Laura has certainly not had an easy ride on MasterChef this season, and has been trolled on social media for repeatedly serving pasta dishes.

Speaking about the trolling last month, Laura told the Adelaide Advertiser that most of the negativity came from other women.

‘I don’t really understand how we’re living in this world where everyone wants equality,’ she said.

‘Whether it’s racial or sexual, and the people who are meant to support you still bring you down.’

Laura said she felt ‘vilified’ as a result of the online abuse.

‘I feel a little vilified … people who know me know that I have not one bad bone in my body,’ she said.

Laura has been on a winning streak on MasterChef, winning her first immunity challenge last month. She also made the top five on Sunday.
