The Bachelorette runner-up Timm Hanly on why won’t pursue Angie Kent

Timm Hanly was left heartbroken during last year’s Bachelorette finale when Angie Kent dumped him in favour of Carlin Sterritt.

But it seems the 28-year-old isn’t considering a reunion with the former Gogglebox star after she confirmed her split with personal trainer Carlin earlier this month.

The tattooed larrikin told The Kyle and Jackie O Show on Wednesday that he’d been flooded with messages from fans telling him to rekindle his relationship with Angie.

He said: ‘I haven’t been able to get away from it actually because my DMs have just been full of people going, “Oh your shot!” and “Have a go.”‘

Radio host Kyle Sandilands chimed in: ‘You don’t really want to go back and have a crack at what you lost. That’s not what men do.’

Timm agreed, saying: ‘I’ve got to have a bit of… credibility, self-respect.’

It comes after he briefly mentioned Angie and Carlin’s break-up in an interview with WHO magazine, published on last week.

When asked if he’d heard from either of them since filming the show, the long-haired larrikin replied: ‘Yeah, I speak to Carlin. I used to speak to them a bit, but I just let them do their thing.’

‘It’s a bit weird,’ he added. ‘You go from being so close to someone [on the show]. I was so close to both of them that it’s weird.’  

Now, Timm is set to star in season three of Bachelor in Paradise alongside the likes of Ciarran Stott, Abbie Chatfield and Jamie Doran.

A recent trailer for the series shows Timm locking lips with Brittany Hockley, from Nick Cummins’ season of The Bachelor, during a steamy date.

When asked about the kiss on Kyle and Jackie O, he said: ‘It does get a bit hot and spicy in there – but me obviously, I’m a gentleman, I have a few dates before.’
