She may be used to strutting down the runway wearing lingerie for Victoria’s Secret.

But Josephine Skriver looked every inch the beach babe while posing up a storm in the Dominican Republic for the 2020 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition.

The 27-year-old star put her abs on display as she basked in the sunshine wearing a strappy orange bikini by Sommer Swim.

Windswept hair tousled over her head, Josephine looked fierce as she stared towards the camera with one hand on her hip and the other lightly touching her hair.

She wore a smoky coat of eye shadow, pink lip gloss, and a hint of blush.

Best known as a Victoria’s Secret Angel, Josephine has momentarily traded in her wings for a swimsuit this year.

This 2020 edition marks the first time Josephine has modeled for Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, and in a video posted to the brand’s website, the star raved about how happy she was for the opportunity to work for the magazine.

‘Seeing how Sports Illustrated has evolved over the years and just been so forward thinking and so embracing and everything I want the modeling industry to stand for. Never forget, modelling is what you do, it’s not who you are.

‘I want a girl to be able to look at a magazine and be able to see herself, and I feel like Sports Illustrated has managed to include anyone and everybody.

‘I’m just so grateful to be part of that group now. You know what, I stand behind every woman in this magazine. I think it’s amazing what we’re standing for and I just want everybody to love themselves exactly who they are.’

Josephine is a number of new rookies turning up the heat in the pages of this year’s swimsuit edition, including Valentina Sampaio, Brooks Nader, Anita Marshall and Lorena Duran.

But it is this year’s cover that packs quite the punch, with three different stars gracing the front of the iconic edition.

Olivia Culpo, Kate Bock, and Jasmine Sanders, made history when the publication revealed four different covers for its newest issue – a group shot with the trio, as well as individual covers for each of the three women.
