Immortalized: Amanda Kloots revealed Wednesday on Instagram that her late husband Nick Cordero would be honored with a recording of his one-man show from April 2019

Nick looked dapper in a dark suit on the black and white album cover, tilted Live Your Life after the song he wrote and performed, which Amanda played every day at 3 p.m. PT during his battle with the devastating after-effects of COVID-19.

‘I’ve never seen my husband work so hard on something and be so nervous to perform. I was so proud of him and absolutely loved watching him onstage these two nights,’ she wrote.

‘He created this show from scratch, choosing songs to tell a story… his story. There’s some Broadway tunes with fun guest stars, some pop, standards, a little Latin and of course the encore is Live Your Life.

She ended the post by noting the album would be released on September 17, which marks what would have been Nick’s 42nd birthday.

Some of the guest stars from the show, which was recorded in April 2019, include his Bullets Over Broadway costar Zach Braff, Kathryn Gallagher of Jagged Little Pill fame, his Waitress costar Drew Gehling, and Sara Chase, known for appearing in First Date.

Amanda included special thanks to Michael J. Mortiz Jr., who was the director and music director for Nick’s one-man show.

The two had originally been planning an album release before the Broadway star contract COVID-19.

He died on July 5 after spending 95 days in the ICU at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

Amanda also took to her Instagram Stories to record a close-up video announcing the upcoming release.

She revealed that Nick’s collaborator Michael had written her a letter asking if Nick would approve of releasing a recording of his one-man show, which she quickly agreed to.

She added that ‘Nick always wanted to do a one-man show,’ but that he hadn’t realized how much work went into writing and planning it out.

‘I’ve never seen Nick so nervous to perform something,’ Amanda added, before announcing the album release again and noting that presales were already open.

‘My men in fantasyland one year ago,’ she wrote. ‘Hug your loved ones tight and be grateful for everyday. Time is precious.’

In recent days, Amanda has been sharing her grief publicly on Instagram while trying to stay positive.

‘I’m heartbroken,’ Amanda told People magazine three days after his death.

‘As a husband I don’t think a day went by that he didn’t say to me, “I’m the luckiest.” Words can’t describe how much I will miss him, his presence, his voice.’

She continued: ‘My husband was a very special man. He was everyone’s friend. We taught each other things, challenging each other to grow. We loved to sing and dance wherever we were.’
