He also spoke about how he’s never been in love before, but how he wants to meet that one special lady who will change his life.

‘I had my Tinder radius set to 160Km,’ Alex said at the event during a chat with host Natalie Gruzlewski.

‘There was about five girls in that radius and sadly no matches,’ he said with a laugh.

Alex lives on a farm in Cunnamulla, in Queensland.

Alex added that when he saw the girls vying for his heart on the show, he instantly thought that it ‘beats Tinder any day.’

Alex also spoke about how he’s never been in love, but said he’s ready to meet that one person who will change his life.

‘I don’t know if I’ve just been a bit picky or anything, but you’ve got that Hollywood idea of falling in love and doing all these crazy things and this burning desire to be around someone all the time,’ he began.

‘And there’s been plenty of girls I’ve liked, don’t get me wrong, but… that falling over heels and ready to give everything up to be around that person… I came on this show looking for that.’

In a recent teaser for the show, Alex is introduced as he pulls up on his motorbike.

‘I’ve never been in love before. I’m 110 per cent ready to fall in love,’ he says to the camera.

Alex goes on to explain that his farm has been in drought for eight years and he hopes one of the female suitors could be his ‘good luck charm.’

Featuring snippets of his dates with the girls, it appears that the course of true love may not run smoothly for Farmer Alex as the trailer hints at some dating drama.

‘I think he is playing a dangerous game,’ one girl comments in the trailer.

Alex adds: ‘I think I’ve bitten off a bit more than I can chew.’

Whatever happens between Alex and the girls, he just wants to make sure that he finds the right woman for him.

‘It’s super important that I pick the right girl, I don’t want to get it wrong,’ he adds.

This comes after a trailer for the series treated viewers to a glimpse of Farmer Alex alongside his fellow farmers Harry, Nick, Sam and Neil back in March.

Farmer Wants A Wife premieres on Sunday July 26 on Channel Seven at 7 pm.
