Khloe Kardashian hangs out in Kris Jenner’s backyard with daughter True, 2

Khloe Kardashian recently stressed the importance of being ‘as present as you can,’ while spending quality time with your children.

And the 36-year-old KUWTK star stayed true to her mantra on Saturday afternoon as she enjoyed a backyard adventure with her two-year-old daughter True Thompson at mom Kris Jenner‘s home in Calabasas.

Khloe captured True exploring the terrain and tending to her inanimate animal pals in a string of videos shared to her Instagram Story.

Although their mother-daughter day was spent at grandma’s house, True was still dressed to the nines in a pink, linen sundress that featured ruffling at the hem and spaghetti straps.

Her curly brunette hair was styled into a neat up do and she rocked a pair of holographic sandals on her feet.

Khloe accessorized the toddler’s look with some dainty diamond stud earrings, a delicate chain necklace, and a matching bracelet. 

True looked to be having a blast as she picked up pebbles in Kris’ yard and placed them on top of the lawn ornaments.

In one of the Instagram Story videos, True can be seen picking fruit off of a tree, while Kris can be heard apologizing to her for ‘not having the Kumquats [she] likes.’ 

True did not seem to mind the lack of Kumquats as she eagerly plucked one of the pieces of fruit from the tree. 

Khloe, Kris, and True, eventually, made their way to the pool area, where there was plenty of places to lounge.

True happily took a seat on a cushioned chair and soaked up the sun with her mom and grandmother. 

Khloe shares her darling daughter with ex Tristan Thompson, 28, and the former pair have been successfully co-parenting amid the coronavirus pandemic. 

And during a remote appearance on The Travis Stork Show earlier this week, Kardashian opened up about how her approach to parenting has changed in lockdown.

‘I do think consistency is key. I think whether you want to discipline or love – whatever – I think being consistent, and your kids crave consistency. They love routine,’ explained Khloe. 

‘True doesn’t have to cry or wonder if something’s going to happen. She knows after her bath, “OK, I’m going to rest now, now it’s bedtime.” I think they really crave some sort of routine or repetition.’

And Khloe also feels it is important for moms and dads to be ‘in the moment’ and shun technology for some quiet time with their kids.

‘Be as present as you can. Just be in the moment. I know with technology and phones and TV it’s so easy to be distracted and everybody grabbing at you, especially during this time, too, I’m sure you’re being pulled in a million different directions. But try to be as present as possible. Because it flies. It really does.’
