All hail the Queen! The Masked Singer teases yet another mysterious celebrity contestant and claims she’s set to ‘rule the stage’

The Masked Singer has introduced yet another mysterious celebrity contestant ahead of this year’s show.

In a post on the show’s Instagram page on Tuesday, The Masked Singer introduced fans to the Queen.

‘Royalty has arrived to The Masked Singer. Meet Queen! Who is under the mask? It all kicks off Monday August 10 on 10!’ they captioned the post.

The post included a video of the Queen’s elaborate costume, which featured an intricate black and gold dress.

The contestant’s face was covered up under a gold face mask, with a black hood hiding their hair so as not to give anything away.

‘Queen will rock you!’ read the video, a reference to the British glam rock band Queen, and perhaps a clue.

‘I’ll rule the stage,’ says the Queen in the short teaser trailer.

Fans tried their best to guess the identity of the upcoming contestant in the comments section.

Guesses ranged from multi-talented performers such as Courtney Act and Lucy Durack.

There will be a slight cast shake-up on this year’s season, with comedian Urzila Carlson set to replace judge Lindsay Lohan. 

The American actress won’t be returning because she cannot fly to Australia due to coronavirus travel restrictions.
