Channing Tatum is putting together a young adult musical based on Shakespeare’s classic character Lady Macbeth.

Tatum, 40, is teaming with Scooter Braun to produce the musical for Amazon Studios, according to a report from The Hollywood Reporter on Thursday.

John McPhail (Anna and the Apocalypse) is directing from a script by S.J. Inwards, though no production schedule was revealed.

While specific story details are being kept under wraps, the story is believed to center on a teenage girl.

The girl is said to, ‘grapples with her own morality as she contends with the dreadful consequences of her ambition.’

The story is said to ‘take cues’ from Lady Macbeth from Shakespeare’s iconic tale Macbeth, about a Scottish general who kills his way to the throne

Lady Macbeth is the general’s cold and calculating wife who pushes her husband into madness.

SB Projects has a first-look deal with Amazon Studios, and his company has produced FX’s Dave and CBS’ Scorpion.

He also discovered and manages Justin Bieber, with his company produccing the documentary Never Say Never and his YouTube series Seasons.

Braun’s company also has a number of projects in development such as Anna K for HBO Max, an untitled K-Pop film for Fox, and Black Panther drama A Taste of Power.

Tatum voices George Washington in America: The Motion Picture, which is currently in production.

He is also set to star in, produce, co-write and co-direct Dog, where he will play an Army Ranger who pairs with a Belgian Malinois named Lulu as they race to get to a soldier’s funeral on time.

He is also attached to star alongside Joseph Gordon-Levitt (who also directs) in Wingmen, an R-rated musical comedy about the misadventures of two pilots.
