Heidi Klum, 47, strips down to a bikini while painting her latest portrait… after revealing coconut oil is the secret to her youthful looks

Heidi Klum let her creative juices flow on Wednesday afternoon as she got to work on a brand new painting.

The German supermodel has made good use of her free time during lockdown by perfecting her brushwork, with the results frequently displayed on social media.

And with health guidelines slowly relaxing, Heidi, 47, showed no sign of giving up her new hobby while pulling out her watercolours for another distinctive art project.

Here we go: Heidi Klum let her creative juices flow on Wednesday afternoon as she got to work on a brand new painting

Taking to Instagram, the statuesque star pictured herself applying broad brush strokes to a large canvas sheet with the accompanying caption: ‘Can’t stop painting.’

With temperatures continuing to climb across southern California, Los Angeles based Heidi showed off her figure in a bold white and black striped bikini.

The model stayed cool by teaming her beach ready look with a wide-brimmed straw hat, while a notable lack of make-up drew attention to her naturally pretty features.

The America’s Got Talent recently admitted she swears by the use of a certain product that has stopped the clock for her.

‘I love using just plain, old coconut oil that you get in the supermarket,’ she told Who What Wear. ‘Especially in Los Angeles right now, everything is so dry and I’m outside a lot.

‘I love to lather up some coconut oil in my hair and on my body too.’

The former Victoria’s Secret supermodel also says it’s a bargain. Coconut oil can be found in supermarkets for about $8 a jar.

‘It’s so inexpensive and it just makes everything feel so yummy and nourished,’ added the mother of four.

‘In general, I like going more towards the natural things instead of the sorts of products that are full of perfumes and astringents.’

The cover girl also said: ‘I really love trying all of those things but very rarely do I actually stick with it. I’d rather use coconut oil.’

Heidi also said beauty ‘comes down to common sense’.

Heidi feels that the ‘basics’ – including eating well and drinking lots of water – are the ‘most important’ when it comes to a successful routine.

She said: ‘A lot of beauty comes down to common sense. I get bombarded with products from all over the world, and I love trying all of those different things, but for me, the basics are most important.

‘When I eat well and keep hydrated I can see the difference in my face when I look in the mirror.

‘You’ve got to look in the mirror and see if there is something up. That way, you know if you breakout it could be because of the garbage you ate.

‘If you look dry and your skin doesn’t snap back, you’re not hydrated. If you just look at yourself and listen, you know what to do.’
