Caitlyn Jenner breaks silence on ‘kind and loving’ Kanye West

Caitlyn Jenner has spoken out on Kanye West after a month rife with bizarre Twitter meltdowns and his presential bid which has caused ructions in his marriage to Kim Kardashian

Appearing on Monday’s episode of Good Morning Britain, Caitlyn admitted she has not seen or spoken to the rapper recently, but insisted he has always been a ‘kind and loving human being’.

Caitlyn was speaking to her I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here co-star Kate Garraway on GMB, who asked her about Kanye’s bid to become President.

‘Well, honestly I don’t know. Since all of this has come down, I have just kind of watched it just like everybody else. I haven’t had a chance [to speak to him], he is living up in Wyoming most of the time,’ Caitlyn, speaking from her Malibu home, explained.

She added that speculation she could be Kanye’s VP on the presidential ticket was a ‘joke’, telling Kate:

‘So, I just wish him the best. I made that as a joke about being his VP when he announced that. But I hope for the best for him. He’s a really good guy.’

‘The only thing I can talk about is really how he treated me through everything and he has been the most kind, loving human being and so good to me throughout the years and especially going through everything I’ve been going through in the last five years. He’s been such a good friend.’

She added ‘He has been extremely supportive. Kanye has got a big heart… he’s a good person.’

Asked about the situation in the US, Caitlyn concluded: ‘I don’t even want to discuss or talk about politics anymore.’

Kanye, 43, was seen on the tarmac at a local airport in Cody, Wyoming on Sunday, boarding a private jet with son Saint, four.

And while it wasn’t confirmed that Kim, 39, was in the jet with their other children, a source confirmed that the plane had indeed taken off from Los Angeles, California before arriving in Wyoming.

The ultimate destination of the jet was not revealed either, but there is speculation that West might be taking a break after a month rife with bizarre Twitter meltdowns, public overshares, and an emotionally charged presidential rally.

Kardashian was last seen with her husband of six years last week, when she flew solo to their ranch in Wyoming to meet with West, where he’s been spending time away from her and the family while he works on music and continues his impulsive bid to run for the office of United States President.

While there, the pair were pictured having an emotional exchange in Kanye’s car, which looked to have left Kim in tears.

Since then, Kim has denied that she feels ‘torn’ about the prospect of leaving Kanye, whose erratic recent behavior might be due to his bipolar disorder as she has stated publicly.

After his presidential campaign rally on July 19th in which he tearfully revealed he and Kim had considered aborting North, West launched into a days-long string of Twitter rants denouncing both his wife and his mother-in-law Kris Jenner.

Kim, who was reportedly livid that he shared the abortion story publicly, made a statement last month saying that her family was ‘powerless’ to intervene to help Kanye with his bipolar disorder issues, inasmuch as he is an adult.

And while Kardashian’s representatives have told MailOnline that reports that she is weighing whether to leave her husband are ‘absolutely not true,’ as for Kanye, several of his recent tweets suggest that the idea of divorcing Kim has been on his mind for some months.

Caitlyn also spoke about her experience of the COVID-19 lockdown on Monday, revealing she ‘snuck out’ of the UK in March.

‘When this whole thing came down, I was actually in London when the quarantine started. Boy this was a long time ago now, [I] snuck out, I had to leave two days early. I came back to here, to the US, I had no idea what we were going to be going through, it’s just been so difficult on so many people.’

‘This is honestly one of the first things I’ve done since this whole thing started. It’s been tough, tough on a lot of people.’

Kate explained: ‘I remember when you were in London because you were meant to be on Good Morning Britain then but then suddenly you sent me a message saying ‘I’ve got to go, I’ve got to go, in case I get trapped here and can’t get back to the US’.

Caitlyn replied: ‘I was afraid they were going to close it down and I was going to get stuck at your house!’

On her time in the jungle, she added: ‘I have talked to James and Jacqueline through this whole thing and the jungle was sounding very good. It was not easy to go through but dealing with a bunch of crickets and having to eat a cow’s eyeball considering what the world, not just us, is going through right now, seems like nothing.’

She added that while she would like to see more of her famous family, she’s been keeping busy at home.

‘I have a lot of grandchildren, 18 of them. I would like to see more of them. But still at least you have the opportunity to do this.’

‘The golf game is very good right now. I spend a lot of time on the golf course. My house has never been cleaner and my property has never been in better shape, because that is what I do… I am very good at keeping myself busy. That’s been good. But I just like working and I just like doing things.’

On the response to Covid in the USA, Caitlyn admitted: ‘I am the eternal optimist, I can handle anything.’

‘I haven’t had fears for myself, the mask thing kind of drove me crazy for the longest time. Now I wear it if I’m at a public place or going into Starbucks. Because I don’t want them to close the damn Starbucks again if I go in without a mask, I want the coffee shop to stay open… it’s difficult for everybody, you want to do the best.’

‘You certainly don’t want to transmit the disease, I’ve been tested a couple of times and always tested negative, just because of things I’ve had to do.’

She added: ‘It’s a different world, I want to go back to the old world!… I think here in the US, a lot of it is political. We have an election coming up, it seems everything right now is politics, politics, politics.’
