A cold shower from Kitee for the winning victories of KPL’s regular series

Kitee’s Ball severely froze Kouvola’s Ball Beaters’ hopes of winning the Superpesis regular season by beating KPL 2-0 (8-4, 4-2). KiPa took 4-2 points in the regular season.

– Today was nothing to win because there was such a tough opponent. It seems suitable for a young team to be an underdog, said KiPa’s game manager Petri Tuuva.

The opening period was solved by Sami Mikkolanaho, the joker of the hosts, who struck the first turn in the equalizer 1 + 3 run from the second extension with a top shot.

Running towards the inning in the second period was enough for KiPa to lightly secure a full three-point pot. Valentin Ikonen marked the beginning of the road with his two withdrawals.

KiPa’s winners were Hannes Pekkinen, the first goalkeeper who scored two runs (8 top shots / 10 attempts) and Elmeri Purmonen (6/7), who brought two runs.

Matti Saukko (5/7), a joker changer who brought one run, and Jere Dahlström (4/8), a joker who beat three runs, stood out from Kopla.

JoMa pushes towards the top

Imatra’s Pallo-Veikot was 0-2 (3-5, 0-2) for Joensuu Mail, which had already won the regular season.

There was not much joy in IPV’s 75% repatriation efficiency during the opening period. JoMa already circulated eight three-way situations in the first innings, of which it took four runs one at a time.

With their withdrawals from the second period, Juha Puhtimäki and Aleksi Rautiainen secured a bonus point for the guests.

The most competent of the IPV, which remained in eight three-way situations, were the scribe Rasmus Surakka (1/1) and the smoker Juho Toivola (5/7), who repatriated once.

JoMan’s heroes were the two-run locksmith Puhtimäki (3/6) and the changer Topi Hurskainen (7/9).

Bet more resilient at the running party

Vimpelin Veto and Hyvinkää Tahko offered Saarikentä’s 1080 spectators a considerable running show, which ended with Veto’s home victory 2-0 (10-8, 9-4).

The pennants needed 1 + 2 runs from Elmeri Anttila in the equalizer to win the opening period.

In the second period, Veto’s Matias Rinta-aho and Anttila beat 1 + 1 man.

The hosts’ powermen were Copter Anttila (16/17), who hit 2 + 4 runs and brought six, and Janne Mäkelä (6/9), who was repatriated five times.

Tahko managed to burn Jere Vikström (7/11) and three-stroke joker Teemu Nikkanen (7/11).
