Minister of Finance Matti Vanhanen had a gloomy report on the state of the economy to the city center’s bureaux and ministerial group at Nokia’s summer meeting on Tuesday. Nevertheless, one would be willing to obtain an coronary vaccine regardless of the price.
The second wave of a possible corona on the domestic market is worrying, as is the uncertain development of the world economy. According to him, the goal was set at the meeting that employment measures are needed and the framework needs to be returned to.

It is not even possible to determine the scale of everyone, but according to the Minister of Finance, the typical pain point is the situation of Veikkaus’ beneficiaries.
– This is one typical pain point that we have very little room for maneuver in the frame, practically no at all and nevertheless there are a lot of expectations.
More than EUR 1 billion of Veikkaus’ profits is distributed annually to various beneficiaries. The decline in returns due to the corona epidemic would significantly cut their money. However, the government said it had previously outlined in the April framework dispute that the annual level would be fully reimbursed to beneficiaries. The old man did not sign this directly now. According to him, no budget has been set aside for the framework.
– No guidelines have been made, but it is good that it is well known in advance, he said.
The biggest issue is the price of the coronary vaccine
The big question, according to the finance minister, is the price of a future coroner vaccine, which the framework is unlikely to be able to provide with a sufficient amount. However, his personal perception is that the vaccine must be obtained, paid for what it cost.
– It is a very strong investment in the future if an effective vaccine is found. Then, once the vaccine is found, that funding needs to be arranged within that time. Right now, no one can estimate its cost, but it’s something that somehow goes beyond all this but needs to be taken care of.

The old man has a mask at home waiting
According to the Minister of Economic Affairs Mika Lintilä, the government will negotiate recommendations on face masks next week.
– My substance is not enough for the meaning of masks, but I know for sure that at least it reminds me of the presence of a virus, that is, it has a mental effect. For that matter I am ready to support it, Lintilä said.
Vanhanen, for his part, did not know whether the government was negotiating mask recommendations. In his view, this is not a matter of political recommendation, but of a jointly internalized position of the health authorities, which is now expected.
– It is better that it comes as an authority recommendation and a common position. I dare say I have a mask at home waiting for that day.
According to Helsingin Sanomat, the National Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) will report on the situation regarding the mask recommendation on Thursday, but there would be no actual recommendation for the use of masks on Thursday. Currently, THL’s recommendation is that a face mask can be used if desired.
