A police motorcyclist escaped from the heels by swimming – he was later reached by the police

An attempt was made to break into a holiday home in Simunanniity, Tampere, on Tuesday morning, according to a police release.

Police received signs of the suspect. As the police investigated the scene, it was informed that a person suitable for the suspect’s characteristics would drive a motorcycle towards Kämmenniemi. The police patrol set out to inspect the situation.

When the police patrol at the intersection of Aunessalmenkatu and Kämmenniemenkatu, it found a motorcycle driver suitable for the characteristics.

According to the police, the driver fled along Kämmenniemenkatu towards Aunessilta along the light traffic route. The escape continued e.g. Along Teisko church road.

The speed of the fleeing motorcyclist was at its highest at about 180 km / h, while the limit was 80 km / h. The fleeing motorcyclist, according to police, caused some accidents to pedestrians and some motorists had to dodge it.

The motorcyclist’s ride ended at the intersection of Teisko Kirkkotie and Niemenkyläntie, from which the suspect continued to flee. The suspect swam across a narrow river towards the south.

The patrol did not go swimming, and the suspect was able to escape at this point. Several patrols took part in the chase.

Police learned after ten o’clock that the suspect was on Mustakalliontie.

The police made e.g. a police dog allowed an area search, and the suspect was reached from a caravan.

He opposed police action and a police dog was used to arrest him. Because of the dog’s bite, he was used for a medical examination and transported in custody to police premises.

The person in question, a man born in the 80s, is suspected by the police, e.g. attempted serious theft, serious threat to road safety and opposition to an official.
