A threat or a possibility? The metal musician asks for permission to record the songs on Metallica’s creepy Lulu album as new

Here’s a special and kind of imaginative pattern. Recorded by Metallica and Lou Reed Lulualbum is a kind of anti-classic – a record that only the bravest and most enduring have been able to figure out to the end. Most of those lost to the output are already exhausted in the early days. It’s a terrible clap, it can’t hold anything.

Sound critic Arttu Tolonen did not spare his words in his review published in issue 11/2011. “This record will permanently destroy everything related to words and human voice. In this field, we can’t even talk about badness or mediocrity, but we are gradually moving towards aversion and distressing nausea, ”Tolonen writes. Critic Riipi Reed’s creaking voice in particular: “If your grandfather is a butcher jerk suffering from Tourette’s syndrome and possibly familiar to the police, he sounds like a Finnish version of Lou Reed, who appears on this album,” the review paints. Now Hatebreed’s frontman Jamey Jasta is throwing a surprising proposal. The Metalcore star is willing to donate $ 50,000 to the Metallica All Within My Hands Foundation if he gets permission to record Lulu’s vocal tracks – apparently mostly Lou Reed’s contributions – as new with an alternative group of singers. Jasta made his suggestions on Twitter.

Jasta emphasizes in a later post that Reed’s lyrics are just ok for him, but the songs themselves could be handled, well, in a different way. New singers include Dee Snider, Sebastian Bach, Kirk Windstein, Robb Flynn and Jasta himself.

What might Metallica answer to this idea? We will wait! If only that record could at least deteriorate significantly, that is to say, a viable idea.
