In the women’s 100-meter hurdles at the Motonet GP in Espoo, Annimari Korte was 12.77 ready for a peak time in the cooling evening and after two cheats.

For it would be a victory for Lotta Harala, who was second at the best time of her career 13.04. The race was run at 2.6 meters per second in a headwind.

– I got a cortisone spike in my hind leg on Monday and I was now able to run well, Korte glowed. He was already the fastest in the first round with a time of 12.91.

Harala was the second fastest in the first round with a record of 13.13. In the finals, time improved, but in a record-breaking wind.

– In the initial rounds, the ankle hit the seventh fence and the end of the run broke. In the final, it was the second cheat start. I got such a good reaction to it and the output is my strength. And it was annoying, of course, that there was about a lot of headwind, Harala said.

Anni Siirtola, who finished third with a time of 13.40, and Saara Keskitalo, who finished fifth with a time of 13.59, also ran well.

Three jumps were enough for Mäkel: There were a bit soft legs

Kristiina Mäkelä won the women’s triple jump after an effort of 14.17. He finished the race after the third round.

– It was decided with coach Tuomas Sallinen that if it is a good day, we will jump. But if not, don’t start grumbling, Mäkelä said.

Mäkelä and the coach’s idea was to ensure that the jumping condition is good next week at the Paavo Nurmi Games and the Kaleva Games.

– Now jumping was a bit soft, Mäkelä said.

The second best Finn was Emma Pullola, who was a good 13.43, and was fourth.
