Biltema’s story began in the 1960s, as the name implies, with low-cost car parts and accessories. Product prices were significantly lower than original spare parts.

Since 1963, Biltema’s range of spare parts has been constantly expanded and developed, and today its brand is Biltema Original, according to a Biltema release.

– Our current selection is already so wide and diverse that a year ago the Group decided to wrap Biltema Original brand products in its own covers, says Biltema Finland’s CEO in a press release, Jani Mahlakaarto.

Previously, spare parts were part of Biltema’s basic catalog, which is published twice a year. However, the basic catalog still includes products related to motoring, but the actual spare parts can now be found in the list called Biltema Original.

The Biltema Original is now being released for the third time and includes 180 pages of spare parts and accessories for more than 6,000 cars. According to the press release, the pages of the catalog clearly state what all the tools and accessories are needed when, for example, an oil filter or glow plugs need to be replaced in the car.

In Finland, 350,000 Biltema Original catalogs are distributed to detached houses, terraced houses and small apartment buildings located in the immediate vicinity of department stores. The list is also browsable online.
