Drummer Tony Costanza is dead – played in Machine Head and Crowbar, among others

Costanza is best remembered as the original drummer of Machine Head.

Machine Headin served as the first drummer from 1991 to 1992 Tony Costanza has died at the age of 52 years. He told me about the grief news Blabbermouth, confirmed by Costanza ‘s former bandmate Afzaal Nasiruddeen (Crisis).

Costanza played Machine Head at the first gigs and his playing can also be heard in a 1993 demo. He was involved in making several debut albums Burn My Eyesin songs. The drums on the record were played by Jumpan, who jumped in his place Chris Kontos.

“He was only with us for a short six months, but he helped so many Burn My Eyes finished songs to take their final form. I was always grateful to him for everything he did, ”the Machine Head camper Robb Flynn wrote in somessa.

In addition to Machine Head, Costanza played in the band Crisis in 1999-2001 as well Crowbar in the years 2001-2004.

“Tony was a really nice and talented guy. It was an honor to have him call Sonic Excess in its Purest Form -levyllemme. God bless you Tony, we take part in the grief of loved ones, ”Crowbar’s social media responded to the grief news.
