The performance seen in the second opening race of the European Rally Series this weekend in Rome brought To Emil Lindholm second rally mission to Italy, says the Lindholm press release.

Lindholm and Mikael Korhonen drive 8-9. August Skoda Fabia R5 from HK Racing of Italy in the Citta di Arezzo-Valtiberina rally, which is part of the Italian gravel rally championship series.

– After the European Rally Championship in Rome Luca Pregliasco contacted us and suggested driving that rally. At the same time, when MRF Tires wanted to run one gravel rally before the second race of the European Championship series in Latvia, the intentions met and we reached an agreement on the race of the Italian gravel championship series.

– The upcoming rally is an important test for me and the tire factory before the next race of the European Championship series. I’ve never driven an MRF Tires on a gravel tire before, so there’s a really good opportunity ahead to get to try out a new tire in real action.

After the note, Lindholm will be able to run the test just before the start of the rally. The upcoming race will be run south of Florence around the city of Arezzo.

– I think the Italian team has a good knowledge of what kind of adjustments our car should have for that rally or at least what kind of adjustments it is worth to take the test. In the test, we also had time to try many things, if the need so requires.

Lindholm says he is primarily aiming for the rally in Italy, but points out that momentum must also be found.
