Fulham will return to the English Premier League immediately. Fulham, who dropped a year ago, defeated Brentford 2-1 in the Championship playoff final at Wembley on Tuesday.

– I have learned so much this season. I am sure that I will learn from the manager until the end of my career. This season couldn’t have gotten tougher. I have spoken several times and got about where we were a year ago. We had a few big wounds that outsiders probably wouldn’t have seen, Scott Parker, who became Fulham Manager in February 2019, told SkySports.

The match between the West London teams ended 0-0 after the actual playing time. In overtime, defender Joe Bryan became Fulham’s hero with two hits.

Bryan first surprised Brentford goalkeeper David Rayan with a long-range free kick. He later played a great wall with Aleksandar Mitrovic and moved to a 2-0 score. Henrik Dalsgaard struck Brentford’s consolation hit with extra overtime.

– Last time (in the Premier League) a few obvious mistakes were made. We will learn from them. We need to learn from them. We are going to the best league in the world with the best players and the best teams. It’s brutal too. I understand the challenge ahead, Parker told the BBC.

The top two teams in the Championship, Leeds and West Bromwich, advanced directly to the Premier League, from which dropped Bournemouth, Watford and Norwich.
