Long-line F1 influencer Flavio Briatore has re-opened his verbal coffin. In Briore’s view, frustrated with the current state of the series, Mercedes ’supremacy does not give a true picture of superiority between drivers at all.
– If you want to know when you are the best driver in Formula 1, then put Hamilton (Lewis), Vettel (Sebastian), Alonso (Fernando) and Verstappen (Max) in a Formula 2 car and you will see great races with small differences. The technology is beautiful, but it always exceeds the performance of the drivers, Briatore formulates in a Betway video.
At the same time, Briatore speaks for the fans. According to Briatore, F1, which practically follows a pre-written script from one race to another, is no longer interesting and glamorous enough at the moment.
– Fans want to cheer for their heroes. They are drivers, not engineers. People want to see ring-to-ring battles for victories and their gladiators brilliant.
