The Internazionale and Getafe will face each other on Wednesday night in the quarter-finals of the Europa League in Germany.

The match is one-piece and the winner advances to the semi-finals. The fight will be kicked off at Schalke’s home stadium in Gelsenkirchen at 10 pm Finnish time.

Inter has kept a good match rhythm since Serie A ended last weekend. Getafe has instead been playing without two and a half weeks.

Getafe knocked out Ajax in the first round of the playoffs. Getafe played disciplined football in the match pair, teased Ajax from start to finish and the Dutch stepped perfectly into the mine set by Getafe after losing their nerves.

Inter’s head coach Antonio Conte realizes that a very challenging and difficult to beat team will face.

– We’ve studied Getafe. They have put the big clubs in La Liga in trouble and lost with only small differences. It says a lot about Getafe. They have two very strong and ranked strikers to help the team. They are good players to translate matches. We know there is a difficult match to come, but we need to show what we want. We face a difficult opponent and it becomes dirty, Conte stated.

Getafe head coach José Bordalás hoped Conten would have thought the match would be more challenging than dirty.

– I have not heard his comments, so I do not have to comment on them. I hope he meant an intense match is in store. Inter shouldn’t be worried because they face a small club like Getafe.

Getafe’s club president Ángel Torresin believes the club could win the Europa League if Inter crashes in the quarterfinals. Bordalás does not directly agree.

– I respect my club president, but we cannot think of winning the Europa League until we face Inter, who is better than us in every area. Both financially and on the ground.
