On Wednesday, the Italian civil aviation authority Enac threatened to revoke Ryanair’s license to fly in Italy due to a violation of the rules imposed due to the coronavirus pandemic. Ryanair denies the violations.

According to Enac, Ryanair has repeatedly infringed the rules in force by the Italian administration to protect the health of passengers as a result of the pandemic. In the statement, the authority says that Ryanair is not complying with the regulations on distances between passengers. If the violation continues, Enac announces its intention to suspend Ryanair at all airports and require the company to find new routes for customers who have already purchased tickets.

According to Ryanair, the allegations are untrue. The company says it is operating in accordance with the rules set by the Italian administration and is making every effort to reduce contacts both on planes and at airports.
