Kristiina Mäkelä says that she refused the Monaco Diamond League competition “with a heavy mind”.
– It would have been the first place in my life in the Diamond League, but the competition is at the worst possible time for me. The matter was discussed with the coach and the Manager and it was stated that it will not succeed now, Mäkelä says on the website of the Finnish Sports Confederation.
Mäkelä will compete in the Espoo GP competitions on Wednesday and then in the Paavo Nurmi Games and the Turku Kaleva competitions.
