Have you always “misused” a pasta strainer without your knowledge? The video shows an orthodox, and much smarter way to use a familiar kitchen utensil.
You, too, will probably find a scintillating pasta strainer in your kitchen as well. The use of the strainer is a matter of course for many: once the pastes have boiled in water, they are poured over the sink into the strainer and the boiling water is flushed down the drain. The pastes are then returned from the strainer to the pan.
In reality, however, this is not the most clever way. In the summer, a video uploaded by a home chef became popular at TikTok, revealing the orthodox use of the pasta strainer.

The correct use was widely reported in the international media originally already in 2017, but now the use of a strainer has become a topic of conversation again – and for many, the more clever way of using it now came as a complete surprise.
So how is the pasta strainer used correctly? Instead of pouring the pastes and water from the pot into the strainer, the strainer should be placed on top of the pot.
